Doug Johnson
Pelham H.S. 99'
Doug played for Post 48 in 1998 and 1999. He was first drafted in 1999 by the Cleveland Indians.
Doug went on to Bryant College and played there for three years.
He was then drafted in the 2002 draft by the Colorado Rockies.
Doug finished the 2005 season playing for the AA Sioux Fall Canaries.
Doug was signed in 2006 by the Anaheim Angels but released by them before the start of the 2006 season.
He was a right handed pitcher.
Derek Miller
Pelham H.S. 00'
Derek played for Post 48 in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
He went to Univ. of Vermont and played through the 2005 season.
He was drafted in 2005 by the Milwaukee Brewers.
Derek finished the 2005 season at and started the 2006 season playing for the A West Virginia Power.
He was promoted in mid-July 2006 to the Class A Advanced Brevard County Mantees.
Derek was promoted to the Double A Huntsville Stars in July 2007. He has started the 2008 season at Huntsville.
He is a left handed pitcher.
Kyle Jackson
Alvirne H.S. 01'
Kyle played for Post 48 in 1999, 2000, and 2001. He was first drafted in 2001 by the Boston Red Sox.
Kyle went on to St. Petersburg Jr. College for one year, and then signed a contract in the 2002. After
working his way through the Sox system, Kyle was assigned to the Red Sox 40 man roster during
November of 2006. He reported to Red Sox spring training in February 2007 and has been assigned to the
Portland Sea Dogs to start the 2007 season. He has started the 2008 season at Portland.
He is a right handed pitcher.
Bobby Tewksbary
Alvirne H.S. 01'
Bobby played for Post 48 in 2000 and 2001.
He went to Univ. of Vermont and played through the 2005 season.
He was signed in 2006 by the Worcester Tornadoes of the Independent Can-Am League. Booby retired from this team in 2007
He was an infielder.
Isaac Burkett
Alvirne H.S. 04'
Isaac played for Post 48 in 2004 and 2005.
He went to Rivier College and played through the 2008 season.
He was signed in June of 2008 by the Nashua Pride of the Independent Can-Am League.
He is a pitcher.
